2007 Loosen Bros Riesling "Dr. L"

Disappointed with this wine. I wanted to put it on by the glass at BONDA, but it is too sweet and cloying for the price. It is what gives Riesling a bad name - not really, but sort of. There are so many great Germany Rieslings out there for a good price, that I do not need to sell this one to people.

If you think Loosen is what gives Rieslings a bad name, you haven't been consuming anything domestic recently. I think you need to recalibrate your palate. This is a consitiently highly rated wine and I am inclined to agree after having sampled it on multiple occasions. The residual sugar in it is actually fairly limited.

This wine may be sweet but it is crisp and delicious. What riesling wines have you been drinking?
